After the change in supply and demand many restaurants knew that they would have to become more efficient in their work if they wanted to continue to be successful. Because of this the first fast food restaurant was opened. Originally a small burger joint the McDonald brothers knew to continue to be successful with their business they would have to keep up with their young fast moving costumers. The two brothers incorporated the assembly line technique into their industry and it wasn't long before their business was expanded to almost every major city.

After many small business owners visited and observed the success of the assembly line in a food business many industries such as White Castle, Berger King, and KFC took after the McDonald brothers and expanded their businesses with the "Speedy Service System"
